Ota is a town in Ogun State. It is the capital of Ado-Odo Local Government Area. ‘Olota of Ota’ is the traditional leader of this town. There is a large market and a major junction located at the North (tollgate) of Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway. Some sections of the town is dominated by industries. The indigenes are predominantly Yoruba of the Awori dialect group.
