Ikotun is a city in Lagos State. Alimosho is the Local Government Area of Ikotun. This LGA is divided into; Agbado/Oke-odo LCDA, Ayobo/Ipaja LCDA, Alimosho LG, Egbe/Idimu LCDA, Ikotun/Igando LCDA and Mosan Okunola LCDA. The LGA contains the urban area of Egbeda/Akowonjo. The Egbados are the predominant people in Alimosho. In this area, several festivals are practiced. Ikotun market is one of the biggest markets in Lagos.
