Efon is a Local Government Area of Ekiti State (Nigeria). Its headquarters are in the town of Effon-Alaaye. Efon is one of the largest local governments in Ekiti State. Efon was created 1996. This town shares boundaries with Ijebu – Ijesa in Osun State in the west, Erio Ekiti in the east, Esa – Oke in Osun State in the north and in the south with Ogotun Ekiti.
