Uvwie is a Local Government Area in Delta State. It is one of the 25 LGAs in Delta State and one of the Urhobo Kingdoms. Uvwie refers to the people and their language. They have a monarch ruler named ‘The Ovie of Uvwie’, the king resides in the King Palace (Ovie Palace). It is a gateway town in and out of the city of Warri.
