Karmu District in Abuja being developed and occupied in phases since the mid 1990s. As at 2014 about 75% development and occupation achieved. The neighborhood is beautiful, in parts, with lush open spaces being an eminent feature. The area has residential and commercial elements. A number of well-known housing estates are sited here as well as several recreational spots. The neighborhood enjoys a prime location in Abuja city.
